Clinical Value of Ultrasound Diagnosis in Patients with Gallstones
Objective:To analyze the value of ultrasound in diagnosing gallstones. Methods:A total of 120 suspected gallstone patients admitted to our center from January 2020 to December 2023 were selected, all of whom underwent ultrasound examination and compared with surgical results to observe the diagnostic effect.Mainly analyze the overall detection rate, diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of ultrasound for gallstones,as well as the ultrasound characteristics of gallstones.Results:110 cases of confirmed gallstones were confirmed by comprehensive inspection, and the detection rate of gallstones by ultrasound was 97.3%,which was not significantly different from comprehensive inspection(χ2=3.038,P=0.081);Ultrasound diagnosis of gallstones has a sensitivity of 97.3%,specificity of 90.0%,and accuracy of 96.7%.110 patients diagnosed with gallstones,of which 90 showed typical gallstones, with punctate, dense, and high-density echogenicity on the ultrasound image, and obvious acoustic shadows visible in the posterior part;10 patients presented with gallstone like stones, which appeared as small, loose, uniformly dense, slightly strong echogenic masses on the ultrasound image, with weak acoustic shadows in the posterior part;10 patients presented with concentric round stones, characterized by strong echogenic spots at the center, circular edges, and uniform low-density weak echoes at the midpoint. Conclusion:Ultrasound diagnosis of gallstones can improve the detection rate of gallstones by analyzing the characteristics of lesions through clear imaging features;Ultrasound has high diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy for gallstones, providing important evidence for the clinical diagnosis of gallstones and facilitating smooth comprehensive inspection.
