Application of Standard Operating Procedure Based on Evidence-Based Concept in Operating Room Instrument Management
Objective:To analyze the application significance of standard operating procedure(SOP)based on evidence-based concept in operating room instrument management. Methods:A total of 380 operations were performed from January 2022 to December 2022 with routine management(control group)and January 2023 to December 2023 with SOP management of operating room instruments(observation group),and the quality of surgical instrument setting and disinfection, the competency of management personnel and the quality of surgery were compared. Results:The rates of rusting, staining, rewashing and loss reporting were lower in the observation group than in the control group. The finishing time of surgical instruments was shorter and the quality of surgical instruments was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The scores of comprehensive ability, personal trait, operation skill and post competence of managers in observation group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05).The average operation duration and the incidence of adverse events of first-class incision surgical instruments in observation group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:SOP management procedure based on evidence-based concept can significantly improve the standard rate of instrument setting and disinfection quality, the competency of managers and the quality of surgery, and is worthy of clinical promotion and practice.
