Study on the Effects of Poor Platelet Depolymerization During Single Platelet Collection Using AMICUS Blood Cell Separator
Objective:To analyze the influencing factors of poor platelet depolymerization in AMICUS blood cell separators.Methods:144 blood donors were selected from March 2021 to December 2023,and platelets were collected using an AMICUS blood cell separator to analyze the incidence of poor depolymerization and its influencing factors. Results:The poor platelet depolymerization rate is 9.03%;There was no significant difference in the measurement results of Hb,HCT,PLT,MPV,and PDW between the two groups(P>0.05).The pH measurement results of the observation group were lower than those of the control group;Low circulating blood volume and longer collection time compared to the control group; The proportion of high sugar foods consumed before blood donation was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Multiple Logistic regression analysis showed that consuming high sugar foods before blood donation, low pH value, low circulating blood volume, and long collection time were the adverse factors affecting platelet depolymerization(P<0.05).Conclusion:Poor platelet depolymerization may occur when AMICUS blood cell separator collects platelets alone, which is mainly related to pH value, circulating blood volume, collection time, etc.Prevention and control measures can be formulated in advance based on this.
