The Accuracy of Real-Time Tissue Elastography in the Diagnosis of Benign and Malignant Breast Masses
Objective:To investigate the accuracy of real-time tissue elastography(RTE)in the diagnosis of benign and malignant breast masses, and to provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods:A total of 86 patients with breast from December 2022 to June 2023 were included in the study. All patients underwent routine ultrasonography and RTE by Siemens ACUSON Sequoia Silver ultrasound diagnostic equipment, the efficacy of RTE,conventional ultrasonography and their combination in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast masses was analyzed. Results:After pathological examination,54 cases were benign and 32 cases were malignant. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of RTE were 89.36%(42/47),69.23%(27/32)and 80.23%(69/86)respectively,conventional ultrasound was 86.00%(43/50),69.44%(25/32),79.07%(68/86),and combined ultrasound was 96.22%(51/53),90.91%(30/32),94.19%(83/86),respectively,the specificity, sensitivity and accuracy were significantly higher than those of single examination(P<0.05).Conclusion:RTE plays an important role in the differential diagnosis of breast masses, and elastic grade>4 is the most suitable criterion; The combination of RTE grading and conventional ultrasonography can improve the specificity and accuracy of differential diagnosis of breast masses.
