The Clinical Value of Two-Dimensional Ultrasound Shear Wave Elastography and Dispersion Imaging in the Diagnosis of High-Risk Esophageal and Gastric Fundal Varix in Compensatory Cirrhosis
Objective:To analyze the clinical value of two-dimensional ultrasonic shear wave elastography(SWE)and dispersion imaging in the diagnosis of high-risk esophageal and gastric fundal varix(HR-EGFV)in patients with compensated cirrhosis. Methods:A total of 100 patients with compensated cirrhosis admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to August 2023 were enrolled as subjects. All patients underwent two-dimensional ultrasonic SWE and dispersion imaging before gastroscopy.Based on the gastroscopy results, the diagnostic efficacy of the two imaging modalities for screening and predicting HR-EGFV was evaluated. Results:In the screening and prediction of HR-EGFV,SWE demonstrated higher diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value compared to the control group, with statistically significant differences between the groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:In the predictive analysis of HR-EGFV in patients with compensated cirrhosis,two-dimensional ultrasonic shear wave dispersion imaging exhibits superior predictive performance compared to elastography. It can predict the occurrence of esophageal and gastric varices to some extent.
