Comparative Study on the Accuracy of Traditional Microscope and Digital Full-Slice Imaging in Breast Biopsy and Cancer Diagnosis
Objective:To compare the accuracy of traditional microscope and digital full-slice imaging in breast biopsy and cancer diagnosis. Methods:Using digital full-slice imager and traditional microscope, the pathological samples of 240 patients who came to Zhangzhou City Hospital and Zhangpu County Hospital for pathological examination from January 2022 to January 2023 were detected.By comparing the interpretation of the same cases by the two instruments, the accuracy and reproducibility of these cases by different instruments were evaluated. Results:Compared with traditional microscope and digital whole section imager in the diagnosis accuracy of benign dysplasia(82%<90%,P<0.05),atypical hyperplasia(46%<54%,P<0.05),ductal carcinoma in situ(83%<88%,P<0.05)and invasive breast cancer(94%<97%,P<0.05),digital whole section imager has higher accuracy. In addition, the accuracy of digital full-slice imager was higher than that of traditional microscope(83%>79%,P<0.05).Conclusion:Both traditional microscope and digital full-slice imaging have higher accuracy in breast biopsy and cancer diagnosis, but the accuracy of digital full-slice imaging is better.
