Effectiveness of Wireless Wearable Monitoring Devices in Overweight Patients with Painless Gastroenteroscopy
Objective:To conduct a self controlled study on the effectiveness and feasibility of using wireless wearable monitors for overweight patients undergoing painless gastroscopy. Methods:Overweight patients(25≤BMI<28kg/cm2)who underwent painless gastrointestinal endoscopy in our hospital from November 2023 to February 2024 were enrolled in this self-control study. Each group was divided into a wired group(group Y)and a wireless group(group W).The time at which SPO2 decreased from 100%to 90%in the wired group and the wireless group was recorded as Y1 and W1,respectively.The time for SPO2 to return to 100%after head reclining and jaw lifting was recorded as Y2 and W2 in the wired and wireless groups. Results:Hypoxemia could be detected earlier by wireless monitoring than by wired monitoring, with an average early time of(4.52±1.75)s(t=14.38,P<0.05).Correlation analysis showed a significant correlation between wearable wireless monitoring and wired monitoring. Conclusion:The wireless wearable SPO2 monitoring device is safe, effective and feasible in overweight patients undergoing painless gastrointestinal endoscopy.Compared with traditional wireless monitoring,it is more efficient and sensitive.
