Objective:To investigate the effect of panretinal laser photocoagulation on diabetic retinopathy before cataract surgery.Methods:100 patients with cataract and diabetic retinopathy from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected.50 cases in each group underwent total retinal laser photocoagulation 1 month after cataract surgery, and the observation group took total retinal laser photocoagulation 2 months before surgery to compare the treatment effect. Results:The total response rate was higher than the control group(P<0.05).The treated visual acuity, macular thickness,PEDF and VEGF in the observation group were superior compared with the control group(P<0.05).The complication rate was lower than the observed group, while the quality of life score was higher than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Whole retinal laser photocoagulation for diabetic retinopathy before cataract surgery can not only improve the visual level of patients, improve VEGF,PEDF,but also have high safety and minimize the incidence of postoperative complications.
