Observation on the Effect of Using a Hematocytometer for Detecting White Blood Cell Counts in Cerebrospinal Fluid and Pleural and Abdominal Fluids
Objective:To study the value of using a hematocytometer in the detection of white blood cell counts in cerebrospinal fluid and pleural and abdominal fluids. Methods:A total of 90 patients who received treatment in our hospital from July 2022 to December 2023 and required cerebrospinal fluid and pleural and abdominal fluid examinations were selected. They were randomly divided into two groups, the control group and the study group.45 patients in the control group were tested for white blood cell count using microscopy;45 patients in the study group were tested for white blood cell count using a hematocytometer.According to the corresponding standards, the white blood cell count levels obtained by two detection methods were divided into three different levels:low value, median value, and high value.Compare the results of white blood cell count measurements between the control group and the study group;Statistical regression equations and correlation coefficients for low, median, and high values;Compare the standard deviation levels of low value, median value, and high value groups in two different detection methods. Results:The white blood cell count test in the study group were comparable to those in the control group, and there was no statistically significant difference in the data comparison between the groups(P>0.05);The regression equations for low, median, and high values are y=1.008x-1.073,y=1.004x+19.775,and y=1.242x-1420.346,respectively,with correlation coefficients of 0.994,0.985,and 0.998;The standard deviations of the low value, median value, and high value groups detected under the microscope and hematocytometer were 280.213 and 284.035,1123.137 and 1145.228,1884.253 and 2348.647.Conclusion:The accuracy of monitoring white blood cell count with a blood cell analyzer is high, and it can be actively promoted and applied in the detection of white blood cell count in cerebrospinal fluid and pleural and ascitic fluid. However, during use,it is important to strengthen the monitoring and maintenance of the instrument to ensure its normal working condition,in order to avoid adverse effects on the accuracy of monitoring.
