Value of Head and Neck CTA in the Evaluation of Carotid Atherosclerotic Lesions in Patients with Cerebral Infarction
Objective:To explore the value analysis of evaluating carotid atherosclerotic lesions after applying head and neck CT angiography(CTA)in patients with cerebral infarction. Methods:In this experiment,60 patients with cerebral infarction admitted to Nantong Haimen District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2021 to January 2023 were randomly divided into two groups, namely the control group and the observation group, with 30 patients as the number of people in each group. The control group performed color Doppler ultrasound(CDUS),and the observation group performed head and neck CTA to compare the detection rate of moderate or severe carotid artery stenosis in the two groups; The number and type of common carotid artery(CCA),internal carotid artery(ICA),and external carotid artery(ECA)plaques in the two groups. Results:The detection rate of moderate and severe vascular stenosis of carotid artery in the two groups was 73.33%in the control group and 93.33%in the observation group, which was higher than the control group, with a significant difference(P<0.05).The number and type of plaques were analyzed.calcified plaques, soft plaques and mixed plaques were visible in both groups. There was no significant difference in the number of plaques on CCA and ECA(P>0.05),while the observation group was higher than the control group on ICA,with a significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:In the evaluation of carotid atherosclerosis lesions in patients with cerebral infarction, give head and neck CTA technology, the effect is significant, can effectively evaluate the degree of carotid atherosclerosis stenosis, and as the preferred plaque detection examination method, especially on ICA,therefore is worth widespread promotion and implementation in clinical lesion evaluation scheme.
