The Influence of Ultrasonic Cleaning on the Cleaning Effect of Hard Endoscope Instruments
Objective:To explore the effect of using ultrasound to clean hard endoscope instruments.Methods:150 hard endoscope instruments that have been collected from the disinfection supply room of our hospital but are still waiting for cleaning were selected and randomly divided into two groups(two groups:75 instruments in each group). The control group used conventional manual cleaning method, while the observation group used ultrasonic cleaning method. Finally, two methods were used to evaluate the cleaning quality:①Bacteriological testing method;②Visual inspection+5x magnifying glass method. Results:Compared with the control group(88.00%,85.33%,89.33%,88.00%and 86.67%),the observation group found that the pass rate and overall pass rate(96.00%)of the axial joint(98.67%),concave convex groove(96.00%),occlusal tooth(100.00%),and handle(100.00%)were higher(P<0.05)through visual inspection and a 5x magnifying glass method.Through bacteriological testing,it was confirmed that the qualified rate and total qualified rate(93.33%)of the observation group's bite teeth(96.00%),concave convex grooves(94.67%),and lumen(97.33%)were higher than those of the control group(86.67%,84.00%,85.33%,81.33%)(P<0.05).Conclusion:When cleaning hard endoscope instruments, using ultrasonic cleaning has a higher qualification rate compared to conventional manual cleaning.
