Application of Self-Made Soft Pads in Preventing Pressure Induced Injury of Intravenous Indwelling Needles During Surgery
Objective:Explore the application of self-made soft pads in preventing intraoperative pressure injury of venous indwelling needles.Methods:60 patients who underwent intravenous indwelling needle puncture and limb wrapping on the infusion side during medium and large-scale surgeries in our hospital from June 2023 to October 2023 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and a observation group, with 30 patients in each group. The control group did not use the decompression pad method, while the observation group used the self-made indwelling needle decompression pad method.Calculate the surgical time, incidence of stress injury, and patient satisfaction of two groups of patients. Results:Shorter surgical time, lower incidence of stress injury, and higher satisfaction were observed in the group using self-made cushions. Conclusion:The self-made soft cushion device is superior to conventional intravenous indwelling needles in terms of safety, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.Therefore,self-made soft pads have broad clinical application potential.
