The Impact of Endoscopic Mucosal Dissection on the Recurrence of Early Gastrointestinal Cancer Patients
Objective:To investigate the effect of endoscopic mucosal dissection on the recurrence of early gastrointestinal cancer patients.Methods:108 patients with early gastrointestinal cancer admitted to Jinjiang Hospital from January 2019 to December 2020 were selected for this study. They were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method. The control group(54 cases)received endoscopic mucosal resection, while the observation group(54 cases)received endoscopic mucosal dissection. The lesion resection rate and postoperative recurrence rate of the two groups were observed after treatment, and the 1-year and 3-year survival rates,as well as the quality of life level in the first half of the year after surgery, were compared between the two groups. Results:Compared with the control group, the overall resection rate and curative resection rate of the observation group were significantly higher, and the difference between the groups was significant(P<0.05);Compared with the control group, the observation group had a significantly lower postoperative recurrence rate,a significantly prolonged recurrence time, and mainly metachronous recurrence, with significant differences between the groups(P<0.05);Compared with the control group, the observation group showed significantly higher quality of life indicators in all dimensions six months after surgery, with significant differences between the groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:Endoscopic mucosal dissection treatment for early gastrointestinal cancer patients can improve the histological efficacy under endoscopy, reduce the risk of postoperative recurrence, prolong the recurrence period, significantly improve the postoperative quality of life, and provide a more reliable treatment option for early gastrointestinal cancer patients.
