Analysis of the Value of Using Multislice Spiral CT in the Diagnosis of Bronchiectasis
Objective:To investigate the value of multi-slice spiral CT in the diagnosis of bronchiectasis. Methods:A total of 104 patients suspected of having bronchiectasis were retrospectively analyzed from May 2020 to May 2021 in our hospital.Bronchial radiography was considered the golden standard for diagnosis. Both ordinary CT and multi-slice spiral CT were performed on all patients, and the diagnostic efficacies of the two techniques were compared. Results:Based on bronchial radiography,96 patients were confirmed with bronchiectasis, while 8 patients were excluded. The diagnostic accuracy of multi-slice spiral CT was 97.12%,significantly higher than that of ordinary CT,which was 86.54% (P<0.05).Additionally,multi-slice spiral CT demonstrated higher sensitivity and specificity compared to ordinary CT (P<0.05).Multi-slice spiral CT showed a higher detection rate for different types of bronchiectasis compared too ordinary CT (P<0.05).Furthermore,multi-slice spiral CT with a slice thickness of 1-2mm demonstrated superior accuracy in diagnosing different types of bronchiectasis compared to 8-10mm slices (P<0.05).Conclusion:The use of multi-slice spiral CT in the diagnosis of bronchiectasis provides high accuracy, especially when the reconstruction thickness is set at 1-2mm.
