Effect of Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy on Dosimetry Parameters and Serum Tumor Markers in Patients with Breast Cancer After Radical Mastectomy
Objective:To analyze the effect of intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) on breast cancer patients after radical mastectomy. Methods:The clinical data of 90 patients with breast cancer after radical mastectomy admitted to Putian First Hospital from January 2020 to October 2023 were retrospectively analyzed, and they were divided into two groups according to different treatment methods.45 patients who underwent three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3D-CRT) were included in the control group, and 45 patients who underwent IMRT were included in the observation group.Compare the levels of tumor markers, dosimetric parameters, and adverse reactions between two groups. Results:There was no significant difference in the levels of various tumor markers between the two groups before and after treatment (P>0.05);There was no significant difference in V95% and CI between the two groups (P>0.05);The observation group received lower doses of V105%,V110%,uniformity index (HI),affected heart and lung, contralateral breast, and liver compared to the control group; The incidence of adverse reactions was 17.78% (8/45),lower than the control group's 42.22% (19/45) (P<0.05).Conclusion:Both IMRT and 3D-CRT can inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells in breast cancer patients after radical mastectomy, but IMRT can reduce the radiation dose of target areas and organs more, with fewer adverse reactions, which has certain application value.
