Study on Three-Dimensional Fixation of Calcaneal Fracture with Extralcaneal "Eight" Kerr's Needle Assisted Reduction with Hollow Nail
Objective:To study the effect of three dimensional fixation of calcaneal fracture with hollow nail assisted reduction with "eight" Kerr's needles.Methods:60 patients with calcaneal fracture in the hospital from January 2020 to June 2023 were collected, and randomly divided into control group (30 cases with internal fixation through L-shaped incision outside calcaneal bone) and observation group (30 cases with three-dimensional fixation through hollow nail assisted reduction with "eight" Kerr's needle outside calcaneal bone).Gissane's angle,Bohler's angle, calcaneal bone width, postoperative infection, operative margin necrosis, intraoperative blood loss, operative time, hospital stay and fracture healing time were compared. Results:Gissane's angle,Bohler's angle and calcaneal bone width were not different between the two groups before surgery (P>0.05).The Gissane's Angle and Bohler's Angle in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05).Calcaneal bone width in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative infection and necrosis of the operative margin in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05).The amount of blood loss, operation time, hospital stay and fracture healing time in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:In the patients with calcaneal fracture, the application of "eight" Kerr's needle assisted reduction hollow nail three-dimensional fixation can reduce the incidence of postoperative infection, operative margin necrosis, intraoperative blood loss, operation, fracture healing and hospital stay.
