The Application Effect of Portable Transport Ventilator Combined with Standardized Process in the Hospital Transportation of Critically Ill Patients with Emergency Tracheal Intubation
Objective:The objective of this study is to analyze the application effect of portable transport ventilator in the safe in-hospital transport of critically ill patients with emergency tracheal intubation. Methods:A total of 84 subjects were enrolled in this study, all of whom were critically ill patients who were admitted to the emergency department from January 2023 to April 2024 with endotracheal intubation and intra-hospital transport, and were divided into groups according to different ventilator transport methods, and 42 patients who received integrated Vera ventilator transport were used as the control group, and 42 patients who received portable transport ventilators were used as the experimental group. A standardized procedure was used for both groups of patients. The nurse preparation time before transport, the time on the transport route, including the time of transfer to the CT examination room, the time of transfer to the intensive care unit and the time of transfer to the operating room,as well as the rate of ventilator tubing dislodgement during transport, the rate of ventilator tubing dislodgement during CT examination, and the rate of ventilator tubing dislodgement when patients pass the bed were compared and analyzed. Results:The experimental group was lower than the control group (P<0.05). In terms of the incidence of ventilator tube dropout, the experimental group was lower than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:The application of portable transport ventilator in the intra-hospital transport of critically ill patients with emergency tracheal intubation is high, safe and reliable, which can effectively shorten the transfer time of critically ill patients with emergency tracheal intubation and ventilator-assisted breathing to relevant departments, and effectively reduce the risk of adverse events such as ventilator tubing falling off during transport.
