Effect Observation of TCRF and ETA in the Treatment of Adenoid Hypertrophy
Objective:To investigate the efficacy of endoscopic low temperature plasma ablation (TCRF) and endoscopic adenoidectomy (ETA) in the treatment of adenoid hypertrophy (AH). Methods:60 AH patients in our hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were retrospectively collected and divided into 2 groups according to different surgical protocols. 30 patients treated with TCRF were classified as TCRF group, and 30 patients treated with ETA were classified as ETA group. The operative effect, perioperative indexes,VAS score, stress response status and complication rate of the two groups were compared. Results:There was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). Compared with ETA group,TCRF group had shorter operation time, ventilation time, duration of pharyngeal pain, and lower intraoperative blood loss (P<0.05). The 1d,2d and 3d VAS scores of TCRF group were lower than those of ETA group, and the serum PCT,Cor and PGF2α of TCRF group were lower than those of ETA group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the total incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion:Compared with ETA in the treatment of AH patients,TCRF can further improve the surgical effect, reduce pain, optimize perioperative indexes, improve surgical safety, and cause less stress reaction to the body.
