Clinical Observation on Treatment of Achilles Tendon pain with Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy Apparatus
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of extracorporeal shockwave therapy in the treatment of achilles tendon pain. Methods:A total of 80 patients with achilles tendon pain admitted to our hospital from May 2021 to October 2023 were divided into two groups according to random number table method:control group (40 cases included) and observation group (40 cases included). The control group received conventional treatment, and the observation group was treated with extracorporeal shock wave therapy apparatus. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results:Before treatment,SF-MBQ shows no difference between the two groups,P>0.05;After 2 and 4 weeks of treatment, the SF-MBQ score in the observation group decreased significantly (P<0.05);Before treatment, there was no difference in fascia thickness between the two groups,P>0.05;After 2 and 4 weeks of treatment, the fascia thickness of observation group was relatively lower (P<0.05);Before treatment, there was no difference in AOFAS-AHS evaluation between the two groups,P>0.05;After 2 and 4 weeks of treatment,AOFAS-AHS scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,P<0.05;After treatment, the total effective rate of the two groups was evaluated between the two groups, and the observation group was 95.0% higher than the control group 80.0%,P<0.05. Conclusion:In the treatment of patients with achilles tendon pain, the use of extracorporeal shockwave therapy can help reduce the pain of patients, improve the therapeutic effect is significant.
