Application Value of Carotid Ultrasound Screening in Carotid Artery Stenosis and Stroke High-Risk Population
Objective:To evaluate the effect of carotid ultrasound screening in high-risk patients with carotid artery stenosis and stroke. Methods:100 patients with high risk of stroke who received diagnosis of carotid artery stenosis in our hospital from May 2023 to May 2024 were randomly selected as the study subjects in this observation group,and 100 healthy people admitted for physical examination during the same period were selected as the control group. Basic information and data of all subjects were analyzed,and carotid artery ultrasound screening was implemented. Compare and analyze the contents:Carotid artery ultrasound in patients of different ages;Carotid ultrasound in patients of different genders;Carotid artery stenosis in patients with different diseases;Comparison of blood vessel diameter between the two groups. Results:From the examination results of high-risk stroke groups aged ≤60 years old and aged>60 years old,the older the intimal thickening was,the higher the rate of single or multiple plaque formation,and the more the number of arterial stenosis or complete occlusion,the comparison between the two groups had statistical significance (P<0.05). From the perspective of gender,the incidence of intimal thickening,single and multiple plaque formation,artery stenosis and nasal congestion in male stroke patients was significantly higher than that in female stroke patients,with statistical significance (P<0.05). The disease situation of high-risk groups of stroke was analyzed. Carotid artery stenosis was the most serious in patients with coronary heart disease,followed by hypertension,lower limb artery disease and diabetes. The internal diameter of the common carotid artery and the external cranial section of the internal carotid artery in the observation group were narrower than those in the control group,with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion:Carotid ultrasound screening has a high value in diagnosing the degree of carotid artery stenosis in high-risk groups of stroke,and ultrasound technology can clearly present the degree of carotid artery stenosis,and the results show that coronary heart disease and hypertension are high-risk groups of stroke,and it is necessary to strengthen vigilance.
