Study on the Efficacy of Combining Flow Cytometry and Protein Analyzer Detection in Evaluating the Prognosis of Traumatic Brain Injury
Objective:To explore the efficacy of combining flow cytometry and protein analyzer in measuring serum inflammatory factors in prognostic evaluation of patients with traumatic brain injury. Methods:65 patients with acute traumatic brain injury treated at Zhangzhou Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University from January 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the observation subjects. They were divided into severe injury group,moderate injury group,and mild injury group based on the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) results at admission. The serum inflammatory factors were measured on the first day after admission using flow cytometry and protein analyzer,and the correlation between the measured index levels and the degree of traumatic brain injury was analyzed,analyze the efficacy of combining two instrument measurement indicators to evaluate prognosis through ROC curve analysis. Results:After admission,flow cytometry and protein analyzer were used to measure the serum inflammatory index levels of the three groups of patients before admission. The severe injury group had the highest inflammatory index level,and there was a statistically significant difference between the groups (P<0.05). After 4 weeks of admission,according to the Glasgow Rating Scale (GOS) evaluation,26 cases had a good prognosis and 39 cases had a poor prognosis. The measurement showed that the serum inflammatory index levels in the poor prognosis group were higher than those in the good prognosis group (P<0.05). ROC curve analysis,combined with flow cytometry and protein analyzer to determine serum inflammatory factor levels,assessed poor prognosis of traumatic brain injury with AUC of 0.855,sensitivity of 91.8%,specificity of 68.5%,higher than the predictive efficacy of single instrument measurement indicators (P<0.05). Conclusion:The determination of serum inflammatory cytokine levels by flow cytometry and protein analyzer is helpful in determining the condition of traumatic brain injury,and the combined detection has good predictive efficacy for prognosis.
