The Value of Rigid Laryngoscope and Laryngoscope in Tracheal Intubation of Obese Patients
Objective:To observe the effect of rigid laryngoscope and visual laryngoscope in tracheal intubation of obese patients. Methods:A study was conducted on 80 patients who underwent obesity surgery in our hospital from May 2022 to March 2024. They were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method. The control group and the study group were treated with visual laryngoscope and visual rigid laryngoscope, respectively, for tracheal intubation. The intubation time and complications of different groups were compared. Results:The incidence of intubation complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the success rate of the first intubation was higher than that in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05);The time required for intubation in the research group was less than that in the control group (P<0.05);The success rate of first-time intubation in the study group was 97.50%,while the success rate of first-time intubation in the control group was 80.00%. The success rate of first-time intubation in the study group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05);The average systolic and diastolic blood pressure during tracheal intubation in the study group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The mean arterial pressure during endotracheal intubation was (98.16±9.64) mmHg in the control group and (92.18±8.79) mmHg in the study group. The heart rate was lower than that of control group, and the difference between groups was significant (P<0.05). Conclusion:Using visual rigid laryngoscope to perform tracheal intubation in obese patients can not only shorten the time of intubation, but also reduce the incidence of complications,it is of great significance to increase the success rate of the first intubation and to stabilize the blood pressure and heart rate of the patients.
