Curative effect and influence on quality of life in treatment of generalized anxiety disorder with Tandospirone
Objective To observe the curative effect and influence on quality of life in treatment of generalized anxiety disorder with Tandospirone. Methods This study adopted self-control study design. 52 patients of generalized anxiety disorder who accorded with the diagnostic criteria of the 10th Edition of International Classification of Disease(ICD-10) were regarded as research object. Patients accepted the treatment only by Tandospirone for 8 weeks. The Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA) was used to evaluate the symptom of the patients before and after 1, 4 and 8 weeks of the treatment. The Generic Quality of Life Inventory-74(GQOLI-74) was used to evaluate the quality of life of the patients before and after the treatment. Results After 8 weeks treatment, scores in HAMA of the patients was lower(P <0.05);the all dimension scores in GQOLI-74 of the patients were higher than before the treatment(P <0.05). Conclusion Tandospirone was effective in treatment of generalized anxiety disorder. Tandospirone improved the quality of life of the patients effectively.
