Differential diagnostic value of joint determination of multiple indices in serum and pleural effusion between benign and malignant pleural exudates
Objective To discuss detection of CEA,NSE and CYFRA21-1 in serum and pleural fluid for differentiation of benign from malignant pleural fluid diagnosis value. Methods Determination of content of CEA, NSE, CYFRA21-1 by using electrochemiluminescence immunoassay kit in 96 cases of patients with pleural fluid(the malignant group 50 cases, the benign group 46 cases). Results Levels of 3 tumor markers of patients with malignant pleural effusions were significantly higher than those of patients with benign ones(P <0.05). Detection of serum and pleural effusion in 3 indicators, the sensitivity of diagnosis for malignant pleural effusion was 98%, the specificity was 80%, the accuracy was 89%. Improves diagnostic sensitivity, accuracy than detection of single index. Conclusion Combined detection of pleural effusion in CEA, NSE, CYFRA21-1 in he differential diagnosis of benign from malignant pleural effusions have important value, improve the accuracy of diagnosis.
