Low-grade gliomas combined analysis of the clinical efficacy of the surgical treatment of epilepsy patients
Objective Exploration clinical, the clinical efficacy and safety of the surgical treatment of low-grade gliomas with epilepsy patients for the clinical treatment of the disease on surgical treatment options. Methods Selected the period from February 2009 to March 2012 were treated 60 patients with low-grade gliomas and associated with epilepsy patients as the research object, according to the patients during surgery whether EEG monitoring of epilepsy caused by lesions to deal effectively with the grouping, the patients were divided into 2 groups that the treatment group and the control group, the control group patients 20 cases were simple excision of tumor surgery treatment, patients treated with 40 cases in the same time of removal of the tumor lesions induced epileptic processing. Results The treatment group patients after surgery, 27 cases markedly effective in 10 cases, a therapeutically effective rate was 92.5%; control group after surgery, seven cases markedly effective in 9 cases, the rate was 80.0%; surgical treatment of the treatment group effect and therapeutic effect of the control group compared to the treatment group was significantly better than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05). Conclusion The clinical, surgical treatment of low-grade gliomas with epilepsy patients during surgery should be possible tumor resection, and effective treatment of epilepsy caused by lesions with the EEG monitoring therapeutic effect of this technique is quite satisfactory worth in clinical extensive promotion and application.
