Analysis the data on aids voluntary counseling and Testing in 2009-2011 of Taiyuan City
Objective To understand AIDS voluntary counseling and testing(VCT) population distribution and infection situation of HIV in Taiyuan City, In order to provide a scientific basis for VCT work. Methods Collected and analyzed 2009-2011 years data from various medical institutions in Quzhou city on receiving VCT service. Results A total of 14389 people receiving counseling and testing services in 2009-2011, were 3025, 3336, 4018, 4460 respectively. Inquirers to 21-30 year-old young adults mainly accounted for 49%; marital status as married, accounted for 62.1%. Education in junior high school culture, accounted for 47.5%; inquirers to unmarried heterosexual behavior types of history of inquirers, accounted for 64.1%; 24 patient with aids were discovered ,the initial screening positive for HIV antibody positive rate was 0.17%, Male heterosexual with high positive rate 9.43%, female spouse/fixed with positive high positive rate is 2.0%. Conclusions The number of AIDS VCT has increased year by year, male gay history and spouses/fixed with positive higher positive rate, the VCT service is not only found in AIDS patients / effective ways of infection, but also according to the results of analysis to determine the focus groups, so as to further standardize the voluntary counseling and testing services
