Observation on the efficacy of clinical application of a special infant-eczema ointment consisted of herbs
Objective To investigate the efficacy of clinical application of a special infant-eczema ointment consisted of herbs to infants and children with eczema and to explore the clinical application value of this ointment. Methods 128 cases of infants and children with eczema who visited the clinic were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. 63 cases of patient in the experimental group, this special ointment was used externally, and 65 cases of patient in the control group received external treatment with fluocinonide ointment. The differences of the cure rate(CR) and the overall effective rate(OER) between these two groups were analyzed and compared using statistical analysis. Results There was statistical significance in the rate of cure and overall efficacy between these two groups(P<0.01). Conclusion The clinical application of this special infant-eczema ointment consisted of herbs to infants and children with eczema displays properties of reasonability, effectiveness and convenience.
