Experience of 15 cases of laparoscopic radical operation of rectal cancer
Objective By comparison of the clinical features with laparoscopic radical operation and traditional operation to assess the feasibility and security. Methods The clinical data of 15 cases underwent laparoscopic radical operation and 25 cases underwent traditional operation from 2005 to 2012 in the Hubei province rongjun hospitail were analyzed retrospectively. Results Laparoscopic operation could significantly decreased the blood loss, the time for bowel function recovery, post-operative dietary intakeand recovery time compared with traditional operation. Conclusion Laparoscopic operation not only hasthe same radical effect for treating rectal cancer as traditional operation, but also has the advantage of less blood lost, more clear visual field and dissection order, more convenient operation and faster recovery.
