Clinical observation of Huanglian Jiedu decoction combined with Metformin in treating Type 2 Diabetes mellitus
Objective To observe the effects of Huanglian Jiedu decoction combined with metformin on blood glucose, blood lipid,fasting insulin, insulin resistance, insulin sensitivity index in patients with type 2 diabetes. Method Selection 54 patients with type 2 diabetes from 2012.3 to 2012.9 in our hospital as the research object, randomly divided into traditional Chinese medicine group, western medicine group, combined group, then index of the three groups of patients after the statistics and analysis. Results The fasting blood glucose, insulin resistance, glycosylated hemoglobin, triglyceride, cholesterol, low density lipoprotein of combined groupwere significantly lower than the other two groups, insulin sensitive index, fasting insulin than the other two groups increased significantly, the results are significantly different(P<0.01). Conclusion Huanglian Jiedu decoction combined with metformin has good control of blood glucose, regulating blood lipid effect, reduce insulin resistance, improve insulin sensitivity index.
