The effects of diosmin for the treatment of edema in deep partial-thickness burn patients
Objective To explore the effects of diosmin for the treatment of edema in deep partial-thickness burn patients. Methods Sixty deep partial-thickness burn patients with edema were enrolled from the hospital, who were divided into control group and therapy group. The patients of control group were treated with regular measurement, while the patients of therapy group were treated with regular measurement and diosmin. The degree of limb swelling and pain were tested before the treatment, and the degree of limb swelling and pain, wound healing time. Results Before the treatment, there was no significant difference in the degree of limb swelling and pain between the two groups(P >0.05). After the treatment, the degree of limb swelling and pain in therapy group decreased significantly compared with the control group(P <0.05). The wound healing time of therapy gourp was shorter than that of control group(P <0.05), and compare with the control group the scar index of therapy group decreased significantly(P <0.05). Conclusion Diosmin can reduce the occurrence of edema and tissue damage of burn, maintain stable internal environment and accelerate wound healing.
