The Risk Factor Analysis of Hospital Infection Neurology Department
Objective To analyze the hospital infectious condition and risk factors of patients in neurology department, so as to take effective prevention. Methods The hospital infectious patients in neurology wards from August 2011 to March 2012 were analyzed retrospectively. Results The infectious rate was 1.44%(38/2647), and the rate of cerebral infarction patients was the highest(3.1%). In the body, the lower respiratory infection was the major part of infection(57.9%). The risk factors of infection were age over 60 years, history of diabetes, chronic underlying diseases, smoking and alcohol abuse history, consciousness, invasive procedures, stay in hospital more than 2 weeks. The hospital infection of pathogenic bacteria is mainly for pseudomonas aeruginosa(36.8%), followed by staphylococcus aurous(26.3%). Conclusion Age, length of hospital stay, underlying diseases and invasive procedures were risk factors for hospital infection in neurology wards. Take corresponding measures for risk factors, the rational use of antibiotics, strengthen management of hospital to reduce the incidence of hospital infection.
