A Three Dimensional Finite Element Model(FEM) of Ankle Reconstruced From MRI
Objective To establish a three dimensional finite element model of normal human ankle joint by using 3D-FSE-Cube of 3.0T Magnetic Resonance Imaging system. Methods Strictly screen out a normal male youth who is without ankle injury or disease history,no interval scanning with minimized thickness was performed by 3.0T magnetic resonance tomography equipment, then import the images files into the Mimics for three-dimensional calculation, further mould and assemble all the digital parts by using the Geomagic Studio, transform the final model into a format that can be identified by ANSYS, ran the biomechanics analysis after. Results The results demonstrate that our model is equipped with highly emulational external form and favorable mathematical applicability, the clinician, therapists and any other personal related will be benefited from it. Conclusion The FEM we built in this research has been proved have great biofidelity and reliability.
