Different anesthesia in elderly patients with lower respiratory tract infection in correlation
Objective To study the different anesthesia in elderly patients with lower respiratory tract infection associated. Methods From December 2008 to April 2013 elderly surgical patients admitted to 240 cases, with a retrospective analysis of their choice by way of the anesthesia will be divided into experimental and control groups. Experimental group, 120 patients taking general anesthesia, the control group 120 patients taking epidural anesthesia. After the test, the two groups were analyzed and compared the incidence of lower respiratory tract infections. Results The experimental group were lower respiratory tract infection cases of postoperative infection rate was; control group of patients with postoperative lower respiratory tract infection, infection rate. By comparison, the two groups of patients the incidence of lower respiratory tract infections significantly different. Conclusion The study found different ways of anesthesia and elderly patients the incidence of lower respiratory tract infection correlated general anesthesia infection rate was significantly higher than epidural anesthesia.
