Clinic observation of functional repair for 93 bilateral cleft lip
Objective To explore the result and application of functional repair for bilateral cleft lip. Methods According to patients bilateral cleft lip size and shape, the chief design principle was keeping the length. During operation, orbicular or is need to be sufficiently dissociated from lateral labial segment and functional reconstructed in the middle of prolabial. Results 93 patients were followed up for 1 year, all parts of upper lip coordinate when the bicolor muscles move, the upper lip and nasal contours on quiet and dynamic state were satisfactory without unsightly scar. Conclusion It is a recommended processor to obtain further moving effect and perfect lip appearance using functional orbicular muscle repair and deepening prolabial vestibule.
