Preliminary study on the relationship between vitamin D and polycystic ovary syndrome
Objective To study the patients with polycystic ovary syndrome serum vitamin D concentrations relationship with endocrine disorder. Methods Collected from 78 patients diagnosed with PCOS patients as case group, another 20 cases of healthy women of child-bearing age as controls, calculating body mass index(BMI), serum testosterone(T), estradiol(E2), LH, FSH and the concentration of serum 25-(OH)D3, and OGTT and insulin releasing test, QUICKI index is calculated. Results Cases group 25-(OH)D3 concentration with BMI, T, LH/FSH has certain negative correlation, and QUICKI values were positively correlated. Conclusion Vitamin D deficiency are closely associated with PCOS endocrine disorders, and disorders of vitamin D may also obesity has certain correlation with the patient.
