Application analysis of ultrasonic in diagnosising and treating submandibular duct calculi
Objective To investigate the characteristics of submandibular duct calculi in ultrasonic tomography, and provide reliable diagnosis methods for diagnosing submandibular duct calculi and foreign body in clinical. Methods Using color doppler ultrasound to inspect 56 patients with submandibular duct calculi. The features of ultrasonogram of submandibular duct calculi and foreign body were analysied. To compare ultrasonogram after treatment by operation or endoscopic to take calculi. Results 56 cases all were with calculi. 32 cases with submandibular duct master duct calculi, 15 cases with submandibular duct-crypt juncture calculi, 9 cases with calculi in submandibular duct gland. 51 cases with duct dilatation while 5 cases with duct not dilatation. The results shown that the diagnosis are basically same between operation and ultrasonic. Conclusion Ultrasonic can visualy display the size and position of submandibular duct calculi, and provide reliable basis for clinical diagnosis.
