The effect of Xue Bi Jing on the intestinal function and inflammation in parents with severe abdominal infection
Objective To investigate the effect of Xue Bi Jing on the intestinal function and inflammation in parents with severe abdominal infection.Methods 60 cases patients with severe abdominal infection in our hospital from January 2008 to March 2013 were divided into Control group(conventional therapy) and Experimental group(conventional therapy and given Xue Bi Jing), the DAO, LPS, TNF-α, IL-6 levels in plasma and oxygenation index(OI), APACHE-II score of two groups before and after treatment were compared. Results The DAO, LPS, TNF-α, IL-6 levels in plasma of Experimental group were lower than that of Control group(P<0.05), the OI in Experimental group was higher that in Control group(P<0.05), the APACHE-II score of Experimental group was lower than that of Control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Xue Bi Jing has a significant effects on improving the intestinal function and inflammation in in parents with severe abdominal infection, and it can reduce endotoxin into the blood,which was worthy of clinical widely.
