Treatment effect of high-dose methylprednisolone for acute traumatic brain edema
Objective To explore the effect of high-dose methylprednisolone for acute traumatic brain edema. Methods 80 cases of acute traumatic brain edema were randomized: Control group of 40 patients were treated with conventional therapy, including bleeding, dehydration, diuretic, anti-infection, calcium antagonists, neural nutrition; Based on the treatment methods of the control group, the study group of 40 patients were plus methyl prednisolone, the treatment effect of two groups was compared. Results After treatment, I degree of cerebral edema of the study group was significantly higher the control group, Ⅲ degree was significantly lower than the control group; The rate of good recovery of the study group was significantly higher the control group, mortality rate was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion High-dose methylprednisolone treatment of acute traumatic brain edema has good anti-inflammatory effects and clinical efficacy, can effectively improve cerebral edema.
