Objective To evaluate the effect and safety of early enteral nutrition(EEN) after surgery in patients with advanced gastric cancer. Methods 33 cases of advanced gastric cancer patients with nasal tube, EEN after operation. records of patients before the EEN support, and renal function, blood glucose, electrolytes, and complications of enteral nutrition. Results The patient's potassium, sodium, glucose, urea nitrogen, and alanine aminotransferase, and other biochemical parameters showed no significant difference. Albumin and lymphocyte counts were aintained at a relatively stable level. Conclusion EEN can effectively maintain the nutritional status of patients with advanced gastric cancer after operation. It is a safe, effective, convenient and economical method of nutritional support, worthy of promotion.
