Study on the relationship between B ultrasound follow-up and PICC related thrombosis in patients with tumors
Objective To investigate the relationship between B ultrasound follow-up and PICC related thrombosis in patients with tumors. Methods 157 cases of patients with tumors were included. PICC related thrombosis was observed by vascular B ultrasound follow-up periodic. Results There were 21 cases of thrombosis; the incidence of PICC related thrombosis was 13.37%. Of which 15 cases without any symptoms of thrombosis, six cases showed cord-like changes in vein, limb swelling, and pain. The average time of thrombosis was 11.48±9.37 days. Conclusion B ultrasound follow-up in PICC could timely detect the PICC-related thrombosis, prevent the development of thrombosis and reduce the incidence of extubation and serious complications.
