Objective To investigate the effect of Omeprazole in treatment of acute pesticide poisoning and upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Methods During February 2008-December2012 in our hospital, 100 cases of acute pesticide poisoning and upper gastrointestinal bleeding patients were randomly divided into control group and observation groups, the control group of patients were treated with cimetidine treatment, the observation group were treated with omeprazole therapy, every two hours for juice extraction in patients with gastric occult blood test, and record patient occult blood clearance time. Patient outcomes were compared. Results The gastric occult blood clearance time of the observe group of patients was significantly lower than the control group patients(P <0.05); the effective of the observation group was significantly higher than the efficiency of the control group of patients(P <0.05). Conclusion Omeprazole treatment of acute pesticide poisoning and upper gastrointestinal bleeding significant clinical effect, can significantly reduce patients' gastric occult blood clearance time, it was worthy of clinical application.
