The rabies' monitor from 2010 to 2012 in three cities(Zhoukou, Xuchang, Pingdingshan) in Henan Province
Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of rabies from 2010 to 2012 in three cities(Zhoukou, Xuchang, Pingdingshan) in Henan Province. Method The data of rabies from 2010 to 2012 was collected and carried out retrospective analysis by epidemiologic methods. Results Total of 42 human rabies cases were reported in 2/3 counties in three cities from 2010 to 2012, the trend of rabies prevalence in each cities were different from each other, most of the cases happened in summer, it had 2 outbreak high peaks(February and September) in a year. More male than female, age 45-59 was reported most, 76.2% injuries were farmers and 75.0% injuries were died in 9 days, some patients were escaped. Conclusions The rabies epidemic situation of cities of Zhoukou, Xuchang, Pingdingshan were very serious, need to strengthen cluster controlling.
