On the Safety and Potency of Treating Gallstones and Choledocholithiasis Using Peritoneoscope and Choledochoscope
Objective To investigate the safety and potency of treating Gallstones and Choledocholithiasis using Peritoneoscope and Choledochoscope. Methods The 96 cases were chosen as the observation group that suffered gallstones and choledocholithiasis and were treated with peritoneoscope and choledochoscope from Aug. 2012 to Aug. 2013. Another 85 cases that were treated with open cholecystectomy during the same period were selected as the control group. The two groups were observed in terms of surgeries, complications, and changes of the serum CRP. Results The observation group was enormously lower than the control group in terms of blood losses during the surgery, the time of flatus, hospitalization duration, and the occurrence of complications after the surgery(P <0.05). Subsequent to the treatment, the observation group was also drastically lower than the control group in the 1d, 3d, 5d serum CRP. Conclusions The proposed approach to gallstones and choledocholithiasis is both effective and safe.
