Comparison of Laparoscopy and Laparotomy in Treating Acute Appendicitis
Objective Discuss the advantages of laparoscopic surgery in treating acute appendicitis. Methods The 94 cases of acute appendicitis were equally divided into LA and OA groups. They received the treatment of laparoscopy and laparotomy, respectively. Results among both groups were observed. Results The LA group was lower than the OA group in terms of bleeding, postoperative exhaust time and average length of hospitalization. The incidence of complications for the LA group was lower than the OA group(P<0.05). Conclusion The LA approach to acute appendicitis is easy to operate, inflicts few traumas and complications, and achieves fast recovery and satisfying outward appearance after the surgery.
