Granulocytic sarcoma of oral cavity:Report of case in clinical analysis and literature review
Objective To improve the diagnosis and treatment of granulocytic sarcoma. Methods Clinical data of one case of oral cavity was retrospectively analyzed and pertinent literatures were reviewed.We also analyzed the clinical characteristics, pathological features, diagnosis, treatments and prognosis. Results Granulocytic sarcoma is a rare extramedullary tumor composed of immature cells of the granulocytic series.Effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy are good, patient follow-up with non recurrence. Conclusion Oral cavity GS is rare, and may be easily misdiagnosed as lymphoma. Histopathologic examination is the golden standard in GS diagnosis. MPO is the most susceptible marker for diagnosing GS.
