Factors analysis of silique shatter resistance in rapeseed (Brassica napus L.)
Influencing factors of silique shatter-resistance of rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) were analyzed using three shatter-resistant and four shatter-susceptible accessions. The factors included variation among accessions, single plants, branches, inflorescence position and silique's relative water content. Results indicated that silique shatter resistance indexes (SSRI) among accessions reached significant difference level. It indicated that the genetic features were main factors influencing SSRI. The coefficient of SSRI variance among single plants within the accessions ranged from 15.81% to 73.78%,but their variation did not exceed the SSRI ranges of each accession.Inflorescence positions within plants significantly affected SSRI.The coefficient of SSRI variance among branches within plants varied from 18.67% to 93.57%.The bottom first branch had the highest SSRI within individual plant.Compared with siliques from middle and bottom parts of the main inflorescence, the SSRI of top decreased by 55.04% and 60.43%,respectively. Relative water content in siliques (x) affected SSRI (y) greatly. They related as y=0.014 9x-0.477 9 (R~2=0.428 4). It was concluded that all investigated factors had more influences on resistant accessions than on susceptible ones.
