Research progress on in-situ synthesized TiC particle reinforced aluminum matrix composites
In-situ synthesized TiC particle reinforced aluminum matrix composites have low density,high specific modulus,low thermal expansion coefficient,good thermal stability and thermal conductivity,good wear resistance and resistance to organic liquid and solvent erosion advantages.In recent years,the composites have become a research hotspot of metal matrix composites.The present paper reviewed the research progress of in-situ synthesized TiC/Al composites from four aspects of reaction system,microstructure,mechanical properties and strengthening mechanism.The existing problems and the development trend of the composites were pointed out and prospected,which will provide reference for the research and development of in-situ synthesized particle reinforced aluminum matrix composites.
