The 7005-T6 aluminum alloy was welded by oscillating laser welding. The effects of three laser oscillating modes on the microstructure, mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of the joint were studied by means of optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, electron backscatter diffractometry and electrochemical workstation. The results show that the oscillating laser welding can effectively improve the weld formation and reduce the width of the columnar crystal region. The introduction of oscillation mode can refine the grain of weld, reduce the porosity defect, and improve the hardness and tensile strength of weld.In the oscillating mode, the size of the precipitated phase at the weld grain boundary is smaller and the distribution is more diffuse, which reduces the corrosion tendency and the mass loss of exfoliation corrosion obviously, and also reduces the influence depth of exfoliation corrosion.By comparing the performance,it is found that the oscillating mode is better than the non-oscillating mode and the infinite mode is better than the triangle mode.
