Coordinated mining and backfilling optimization for short-term underground mine planning
Traditional researches on optimizing short-term mine production schedules often focus on economic and production metrics, neglecting the environmental impact of mine waste management.Production schedules directly determine the backfilling processes and tailings consumption, thereby influencing other tailings disposal strategies. This paper proposed a short-term mine planning optimization model under mining-backfilling coordination, incorporating backfill tailings consumption constraints. The minimization of fluctuation in backfill tailings consumption was set as the optimization objective. The model ultimately achieved joint optimization of mining and backfilling schedules. The results show that, compared to traditional methods, the model can reduce monthly tailings storage by over 30%,minimizing environmental impact from tailings while increasing the proportion of green tailings disposal.Meanwhile, the model's output of extracted ore tonnage and grade fluctuations meet the mine's production requirements.
