In the field of printing technology, some accuracy problems are caused by the inking thickness not being accurately detected, and the existing inking thickness detection methods have a large error. Therefore, based on the principle of probability Hough line transformation,a method combining laser thickness triangulation technology and image processing technology was proposed to detect the ink layer thickness in this study.Firstly, the ink layer thickness detection system platform was built, then images were collected using the industrial camera and the acquired images were processed. Finally the laser offset based on the probability Hough line transformation method was obtained to calculate the ink layer thickness value. The laser incidence angle suitable for the ink layer thickness detection system was found in the study, and the measurement accuracy was compared with the traditional method, and it was found to be less than 3µm.This study verifies that the method can effectively measure the ink layer thickness of transparent film printing products.
